Love Goodly October/November Box: Review
Love Goodly, the cruelty-free and green beauty subscription box for vegans and zero wasters who love clean beauty, has released the October/November box. I’m always so excited when Love Goodly asks me to review the unboxing experience because I know the values that are important to LG and the products they curate for each bi-monthly box always align with those values. It’s so refreshing to see a subscription box that sustainably sources its products and makes clean beauty a priority.
Did you know women put an average of 168 chemicals on their bodies per day? A lot of those chemicals aren’t regulated.
What is Love Goodly?
Everything in the Love Goodly box is eco-friendly, non-toxic, vegan, cruelty-free, and for all my low-impact, zero-waste readers, presented with minimal packaging. As usual, this is the standard with Love Goodly’s subscription boxes. For more on my past reviews of Love Goodly boxes, check out the April 2018 box review here, the June/July 2017 review here, and April/May 2017 review here. As you can see, I’ve tried several Love Goodly boxes before and I can say with confidence, this is hands-down one of the best boxes I’ve ever gotten from LG.
The October/November box includes a primer, moisturizer, toothpaste, toothbrush, and a cardholder wallet.
Why is this one of Love Goodly’s best boxes? You get a huge amount of variety with the October/November box. It’s not only makeup; in fact, this box only has one true-blue makeup product: Face Glow, a delicious-smelling, natural-looking primer that works also as an illuminator. This box features more than just cruelty-free makeup: it also has a fashion component (thanks to the cardholder wallet that’s completely vegan), oral care in the form of a sustainably-made bamboo toothbrush and Bite Toothpaste Bits, and skincare in the form of Graydon Skincare’s Green Cream, a moisturizer. Now that’s some clean beauty!
My favorites from Love Goodly
My favorites from this month’s box are definitely Face Glow by Graydon’s and the cardholder. First of all, I can’t stress enough how delicious Face Glow smells. It’s like a cookie fresh out of the oven, newly-baked. Yep, it smells that good — like a Yankee Candle bestseller. But that’s just one of the cosmetic reasons I love it. As makeup, it works wonders. It’s essentially a light coverage, tinted primer/moisturizer. When I use Face Glow, I don’t feel like I need anything in the way of coverage: neither foundation nor concealer. Most of the time when I’m wearing Face Glow, I don’t even really opt for blush or bronzer either. It gives your face the perfect amount of coverage while still maintaining that fresh-faced, no-makeup look.
For the October/November box, Love Goodly paired up with Cancer Support Community as their charity partner. CSC provides professional programs of emotional support, education, and hope for people impacted by cancer at no charge, so that no one faces cancer alone. If you’ve read my blog for a while, followed my Instagram, or read any of my writing, then you know that I have personally been impacted by cancer. That’s why this partnership is very near and dear to my heart.

Graydon Skincare — Green Cream
Graydon’s Green Cream gets its name from well, the greenery used to make it. Green Cream is infused with broccoli, avocado, coconut, olive, and aloe. It’s also loaded with phytonutrients like chlorophyll, which reduces skin inflammation and antioxidants that reduce and repair skin cell damage. Green Cream also contains sulforaphane from the broccoli seed oil, which is another powerful antioxidant that fights against harmful free radicals that damage the skin. This product is cruelty-free, non-toxic, and vegan. Use ‘GRAYDONxLOVEGOODLY’ at checkout on graydonskincare.com for 15% off entire order.
Pixie Mood — Assorted Jana, Carol, Quinn
Pixie Mood is a vegan, cruelty-free fashion brand that uses only leather and fur alternatives for its fashion. The Quinn card wallet is a slim cardholder with five debit or credit card slots and a zip around compartment that’s 5×3 inches. I can fit coins, bills, and a Tile in my cardholder wallet. This product is cruelty-free and vegan.
Plus ULTRA — Brush, Smile, Repeat
The Plus ULTRA toothbrush is bamboo, an environmentally-friendly, sustainable alternative to plastic. These bamboo toothbrushes are made of 90% biodegradable materials, which means once you’re through with your toothbrush, you can add it to your compost pile where it will naturally break down. These are made from 100% organically grown, sustainable, anti-microbial Moso bamboo, a durable material with anti-bacterial properties. Even the Plus ULTRA packaging is sustainable, made from paper certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and Forest Stewardship and inner packaging made by Bio-PET, a substrate made from 30% sugar and 70% PET. This product is cruelty-free, vegan, and sustainable.
Bite — Toothpaste Bits in Mint
The Bite Toothpaste Bits in mint flavor are naturally-whitening mints with organic peppermint oil. There are no harsh chemicals in Bite’s Toothpaste Bits and they are sustainably made in the US. They are TSA-approved, which is why I love to use them when traveling.
Graydon Skincare — Face Glow
Face Glow is a tinted primer and illuminator. It contains loads of antioxidants that restore and hydrate the skin. The Face Glow product contains spirulina (blue green algae), Vitamin E, and selenium, which reduces inflammation. Spirulina naturally contains chlorophyll, which reduces the visibility of dark circles, spots, and hyperpigmentation. Face Glow is non-toxic, cruelty-free, and vegan.
