New York City Street Style: Look Book

New York City Street Style: Look Book

Sometimes goals run big: like getting into an Ivy League School or scoring a promotion at work. Other times, goals are as banal (but equally as important) as surviving the New York City Heat Wave of 2016.

Let’s just say that the last couple of days, my goals qualify as banal. I’m just trying to survive out here in these SoHo streets.

Make no mistake, it is WAY too melty outside to pull of jeans, a three-quarter sleeved blouse, and a leather jacket, but since August is going by like Sherman went through Atlanta, I’m looking forward to fall.

The outfit below is a staple of my autumn look book, namely for its versatility. My favorite way to change the look’s mood is to switch out the sky-high wedges for plain black or cheetah flats.

A word of caution: It’s my moral imperative to tell you the NYC cobblestone streets do not mix well with heels. That is all.

Outfit details: White button-up from Lulus, jacket from Zara, hat from Anthropologie, sunglasses from Forever 21, jeans from Dynamite.
