This Week’s Pinterest Highlights

this-weeks-pinterest-highlights-05-15The gorgeous weather spilled over into this week and my internal clock is officially convinced it’s summer. There have been fresh flowers adorning the kitchen island, lots of late-night reading sessions in the back garden patio, and more cooking than usual. I attribute the improved weather to my now almost-constant presence in the kitchen.

My first favorites are these Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches, which arrived in my May Glam Bag from Ipsy. (Review TK.) You can also purchase these at Anthropologie for $21. As soon as these under eye patches touch my skin, the cooling sensation is immediate. Directions say to leave them on for 20 minutes, so I’ve been washing my face with cleanser, applying them, and then going about my nightly routine.

I’ve been really loving my cheetah flats from Mossimo lately. I purchased them for $15 at Target and the wear I get out of them for that price is unbeatable. I love pairing them with basics, as I find the unexpected pop of texture switches up the entire mood of an outfit.

As per the musical suggestion of Mimi Ikonn, I’ve been obsessed with the song “We Are Together” by Planet of Sounds. I heard it in one of her videos and ever since have had it on replay. It’s a relaxing tune, so I’ve been listening to it while at work or even while getting ready in the morning. It’s lovely background music that just so happens to boost my mood.

My most commonly searched food term in Pinterest is definitely “asparagus recipes” this week. I’ve been utterly obsessed with asparagus. I’ve been boiling it and adding it to salads, roasting it and serving it alongside eggs for breakfast, and even serving it with vegetables and rice. Whenever I have a craving lately, it’s for asparagus, and you know what? There are worse things I could be craving, so I’ll take it!

What you need in your life is the 7 minute workout app. This life-changing app provides the perfect workout in — you guessed it — only seven minutes. It focuses on all the different areas of your body you need to tone and even throws in a little bit of cardio. Each circuit lasts 30 seconds with a 10-second period of rest in between. As already mentioned, it only lasts seven minutes, so you’re done in less time than if you baked cookies. I love this especially because it’s perfect for quick morning workouts. I do 30 minutes of cardio, then head to a corner and turn on my app. Then, I’m ready to go home and prepare for my day.
