This Week’s Pinterest Highlights

I would probably describe myself with the same adjectives as I would have when I was a teenager. But now, I embody them in different ways. It’s shocking how much people can change internally without even noticing. I hadn’t even realized how different I look, act, and feel until I really turned inward.

Style, lifestyle, food, beauty, and entertainment have always interested me since I was young but my perspective on each of them now has changed significantly. My thoughts on style, decor, and even my food choices have transformed drastically.

The thought of wearing a denim dress (with a collar, no less!) would have made 2010 Stephanie vomit. I’m much more confident in my personal style sense now. I proudly rock a uniform that’s mature, consistent, and (mostly) timeless. When I made this jean dress purchase from Forever 21, it felt like a moment of growth.

My work desk is farmhouse style, just a plank of blank wood, so the right accessories highlight the chicness and simplicity of the refurbished wood. I love the look of a green or purple succulent against the grain of the wood.

Real talk: Have you ever heard of shrimp francese? I stumbled across it while (yep, guilty) perusing Esperanto’s menu on Seamless. Now, it’s become one of my favorite order-in dishes, although I promise I have every intention of learning how to cook it myself.

You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe. Trust. Let go. And see what happens.” That’s what John Lennon was talking about when he said, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.” You can have all the plans in the world but that guarantees nothing. Let go and let’s just see what happens organically, okay? I’m done forcing everything I think I need.
