Three Basic Work Outfits

Three Basic Work Outfits

Screen shot 2013-10-27 at 8.16.56 PMOne of the great bonuses about working in the entertainment industry is the relatively laid-back dress code. The main thing to remember when it comes to dressing for work in the media field is that you must look put together. Luckily for us, we don’t really bear the burden that those in finance and business do. (No pantsuits for me five days a week!) I thought it’d be wise to put together the three basic work outfits that most people in this industry encounter.

1. Day-to-day

The versatility of black jeans makes them a super steal! They can be dressed up with a graphic blouse, heels, and statement jewelry, or dressed down with flats and a simple tee. Here, I paired the jeans with nude heels (always a chic statement), a bright orange necklace, and a cute black and white blouse.

2. Casual Friday

The best part about Casual Friday is getting away with flats and your favorite pair of snug jeans. I especially love how these panda flats bring a cute, unexpected element to the otherwise serious outfit.

3. Event

I know several people who wouldn’t dress any differently for an event than they would at work. It’s just a personal preference of mine that when I attend events or if a celebrity comes into the office, I make sure that I look pretty cute. (Mainly because there’s almost always a photo opportunity and I’d like to look my best!) For events, a cute, slimming dress is usually my go-to. I also like a nude lip because it’s fashionable, smart, and not overbearingly bold.
