Top 4 Favorite Bedtime Teas
People are befuddled and tend to feel bad for me when I mention I don’t drink coffee. This admission usually garners a flabbergasted expression, oftentimes accompanied by a jaw drop, and a pathetic, “Why not?” I don’t care for the taste. But tea, I could drink all day!
I’ve rounded up my four favorite teas to drink right before bedtime. Some contain healing, sleep-inducing powers and others do not, but all the same, there’s nothing that relaxes me more and sets me up for a good night’s sleep like a big ole mug of tea. (Except maybe my array of meditation apps and a Bon Iver playlist on Spotify.)
Yogi Bedtime Tea
This tea is designed to prepare you for bedtime, so it’s a no-brainer that it made my list. There’s just something about it that I find uniquely calming and soothing.
Lipton Lemon Tea
I naturally gravitate toward black tea, so this lemon black tea blend is something I like to keep handy. In fact, I keep an entire sleeve of it in my drawer at work, just in case I start feeling sluggish, like I need a pick-me-up. Even though I use it to energize myself at work, I also find it a calming part of my nightly routine.
Trader Joe’s Spicy Chai Tea Latte Mix
Chai is my absolute favorite any time of day, but when I ingest a cup at night, right before I crawl into bed, my body knows it’s time to shut down. It’s like my body runs on the clock that is my chai tea latte intake.
Yogi Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea
This stuff is my jam. Honey and lavender are two of my favorite scents and flavors, so the combination of them together in tea form is absolutely enthralling. I find this tea to be super relaxing, to the point where I’m so tired after I finish a cup, I better already be in bed, or else risk falling asleep on the couch or floor.
