What Did I Think of My January Ipsy Bag?

ipsy-bag-review-january-2015

I had super high hopes for my January 2015 glam bag from Ipsy, as it was full of a lot of products I was really enthusiastic about trying. In retrospect, I’d say it was a pretty big hit, as I enjoyed four out of the five products. Nice job, Ipsy, nice job!

Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream

Anything with avocado on the packaging instantly grabs my attention and curiosity, so I was excited to try this Nourish Organic eye cream. I don’t use eye cream products often, but I notice a difference when I do. This one in particular moisturizes my very sensitive under eye area and it helps minimize the Sicilian under eye circles I’ve been blessed with.

Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow

What I love about this natural mineral coconut eye shadow from Pacifica is that it’s great to use in the outer corner of your eyelid when creating a smoky eye. I like using a lighter gold shadow for the rest of the eyelid to really make the eye makeup pop.

Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm

#OBSESSED. I use this lip balm literally every five minutes. After walking from the train to the office, I dab some on, as my lips usually become significantly chapped from being outside. I follow up throughout the day, every time I feel my lips feeling dry again.

Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush

Brushes were never really my thing, but this Elizabeth Mott all-over shadow brush is perfect for creating the base of a smoky eye.

Bella Pierre Shimmer Powder

You know the part above where I mentioned I only liked four out of the five products? The Bella Pierre powder is the fifth. I don’t like the color and I find the packaging to be boring.
